Updated 120-Night Sleep Trial Policy
We’re committed to helping you find the perfect mattress for your best night’s sleep, which is why we offer a 120-night sleep trial. However, to ensure this policy remains sustainable and fair for all customers, we’ve recently introduced a $90 return fee.
This fee helps discourage misuse of the trial, such as purchasing a mattress for temporary use and returning it afterward. Our goal is to maintain a fair system that benefits those genuinely looking for a long-term sleep solution.

We’re so confident that you’ll love your new teddy idream, idream Elite or idream Hybrid mattress that we invite you to try it out first! Sleep with our 120-night trial policy and if your body doesn’t love your teddy mattress, you can return it and get a refund less the $90 return charge.
You will be required to keep the mattresses original plastic packaging during this trial period, just remove your mattress and neatly fold and store away the plastic wrapping. This plastic requirement is in order for us to ensure the mattress remains protected, clean and undamaged for donation during its collection and drop-off.
It's important to keep in mind that our 120-Night Sleep Trial only applies to our idream and idream Hybrid mattresses, and does NOT apply to our teddy junior, junior LUX, iBase, mattress toppers or Pillow products.
Our 120-night trial is valid for online purchases via our teddybed store only. If you have purchased a teddy mattress via one of our retail partners, the teddy return policy becomes invalid and the refund policy of that retail store is followed.
Unfortunately, we also Do Not offer size exchanges on all products.
Here’s what happens next:
Once your refund request has been lodged, we will organise a collection from either one of our charity partners or an approved third party logistic company. Your teddy mattress will then be donated to charity to help those in need.
These collections can take up to 14 business days (depending on your location) and can only take place during business hours.
In the event that you have an address with restricted access and are outside of metro or regional cities, it may be difficult for our partner charities to collect your pre-loved teddy mattress. However, we will work with you and help expedite your refund.
If we are still having trouble collecting your teddy mattress after all options have been attempted, we may ask for your assistance to drop the mattress at one of our approved donation locations and we would require a donation receipt.
We require your original purchase receipt for all refunds to be approved.
Some terms and conditions to keep in mind with our 120 night-trial:

We are unable to provide you with a refund if your mattress that has rips, tears, stains, mould, dirt, smells, or bed bug infestations.

We’re happy to give you the option of exchanging your mattress for another mattress of equal value if it doesn’t suit, but be aware that there are some restrictions:

All exchanges/refunds must happen within 120 nights of purchase.

Only one exchange/refund per household will be permitted (at a maximum of 1 mattress).

The requirement that the mattress meets the hygiene requirements as set out above also applies to any exchanges.

In the case of an exchange upgrade, you’ll be responsible only for any difference in pricing. We will cover any additional shipping expenses.
Why is there a Return Charge if you Donate the Mattress?

Comfort and Sizing Exchange or Refund
Comfort exchanges are not accepted outside of our 120-Night trial policy, teddybed will also not accept exchanges for another size (if teddy is not at fault upon delivery).
We do not accept comfort exchanges on our teddy junior and junior LUX mattresses, any return or refund request on our junior ranges must be lodged within the first 30 days starting from date of purchase and if accepted the customer will be liable for any collection charges and the customer is responsible in making sure the mattress is wrapped and protected for transport. The return charge is to discourage unwarranted purchases.

Our 120-Night Trial policy is in addition to and not in replacement of any rights you may have under law – for example under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
1. Receive your mattress
Unbox and unravel and start your sleep trial!
2. Sleep on it
You and your new mattress need some time to get acquainted, sleep on it for 120 nights in your home, no sneaky clauses to catch you out! Sleep on it for at least 30 days to get used to it.
3. Not the right fit
If you're not catching the Zzz's you were hoping for, no hard feelings! Teddy has partnered with New Zealand Red Cross who will collect and donate your bed to a family in need.
