The Teddy Den is a versatile toddler bed and kids bed designed to adapt to your space and your child’s needs.

Each Teddy Den bed frame includes one guardrail as standard. The guardrail is fully repositionable and can be installed on either the left or right-hand side of the bed in both the low and high positions.

For even more flexibility, the guardrail can also be positioned as a headboard when installed in the high position.

If you would like a guardrail on both sides of the bed frame, an additional guardrail can be purchased separately.

Washing Instructions

As the bed frame is upholstered in 100% Looped-polyester bouclé, we recommend cleaning any spills or marks as soon as possible and avoiding soaking or scrubbing the fabric. 

We would recommend the following steps:

First, remove any excess mess and gently blot the area with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. You can then use either a small amount of mild cleaning detergent mixed with cool/lukewarm water, or, if you would prefer a more natural option, a diluted white vinegar solution (approximately 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water).  Whichever option you use, we recommend testing it on a small hidden area first.

Lightly dampen a clean cloth with the solution and gently dab the affected area rather than rubbing it. Afterwards, dab again with a clean cloth lightly dampened with plain water and allow the fabric to air-dry completely. Try not to saturate the fabric, as you don’t want excess moisture soaking into the padding underneath.

Once the area is dry, you can also gently vacuum the bouclé using a soft upholstery attachment on a low suction setting. Please avoid using a rotating brush attachment, as this could catch on the loops of the fabric. 

If there is an odour, the diluted vinegar solution can be particularly helpful for freshening the area.

ASSEMBLY SAFTEY NOTE:

BEFORE ATTACHING THE GUARDRAIL, DETERMINE WHICH SIDE WILL HAVE THE GUARD RAIL.

FOR THE SIDE WITHOUT THE GUARD RAIL: POSITION THE BED SIDE RAIL SO THAT THE PRE-DRILLED HOLES FACE DOWNWARD (TOWARDS THE FLOOR). THIS PREVENTS CHILDREN FROM INSERTING FINGERS INTO THE HOLES.

  • The teddyDen bed frame has a weight limit of 100Kgs.
  • teddyDen Trundle & Mattress has a weight limit of 80Kgs.
  1. AVOID JUMPING ON OR AROUND THE TEDDYDEN BED BASE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE GUARDRAIL IS INSTALLED, AS IT MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURIES.
  2. ONLY USE THE MATTRESS RECOMMENDED (TEDDY JUNOIR OR JUNIOR LUX) FOR THE TEDDYDEN BED.
  3. DISCONTINUE USE OF THE TEDDYDEN BED OR GUARDRAIL IF DAMAGED OR BROKEN.
  4. THE GUARDRAIL IS DESIGNED FOR A MATTRESS WITH A MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 18CM.
  5. THE GUARDRAIL IS INTENDED FOR USE AS SPECIFIED IN THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS AND IS NOT A TOY.
  6. PERIODICALLY CHECK AND TIGHTEN THE SIDE RAILS TO ENSURE THE GUARDRAIL REMAINS SECURE.

You may return the bed frame in the first 30-days from purchase.

To qualify for a return, the Monti and TeddyDen bed frames must be in their original condition, free from damage, and packaged in their original materials. We recommend keeping the original packaging in case you wish to return the product. Please note that a return fee of $90 applies for processing and collection.

Additionally, our Monti and TeddyDen bed frames come with a comprehensive 2-year warranty, ensuring protection against any defects in materials or workmanship during this period. For more details or to initiate a return, please contact our customer service team.

13. What mattress height is compatible with the teddyDen guardrail?

The teddyDen guardrail is designed for mattresses with a maximum height of 18cm if Guard Rails are being used. 

We recommend pairing your teddyDen with our teddy junior or junior LUX mattress and following the supplied safety and assembly instructions.

1. Can the teddyDen guardrail be installed on either side?

Yes!
The teddyDen guardrail can be installed on either the left or right side of the bed frame. Both side rails have pre-drilled insert holes, allowing you to choose the position that best suits your bedroom layout.

2. Does the teddyDen come with a guardrail?

Yes!
Every teddyDen bed frame includes one removable guardrail. Additional guardrails can be purchased separately if you would like guardrails on both sides.

3. Can I install guardrails on both sides of the teddyDen?

Absolutely!

The teddyDen supports guardrails on both the left and right sides. Simply assemble both side rails with their guardrail insert holes facing upwards. One additional guardrail will need to be purchased, as one is already included.

4. Why do the guardrail insert holes need to face downwards when not in use?

For safety!
If a guardrail isn’t being installed on one side, that side rail must be assembled with its unused insert holes facing downwards towards the floor. This prevents the exposed holes from being accessible to little fingers.

5. Can I change which side theguardrail is installed on?

Yes!
The teddyDen is designed for flexible guardrail positioning. You can change the guardrail from left to right by repositioning the side rails so the insert holes face upwards on your chosen side and downwards on the unused side. Always follow the assembly instructions.

6. Can guardrails be installed when the teddyDen is in its higher position?

Yes!
Guardrails can be fitted on either or both sides of the teddyDen in its higher 23 cm position. Simply orient the side rails with their guardrail insert holes facing upwards wherever a guardrail will be installed.

7. Can the included guardrail be usedas a headboard?

Yes!
When the teddyDen is converted to its higher position, the included guardrail can be repositioned and used as an upholstered headboard. This creates a more traditional bed appearance as your child grows.

8. Can I have a headboard and side guardrails in the higher position?

Absolutely!
In the higher position, you can use the included guardrail as a headboard and purchase one additional guardrail for one side, or two additional guardrails for both sides.

9. How many additional guardrails do I need?

It depends on your preferred setup:

  • Low position, one side: No extras required.
  • Low position, both sides: 1 extra.
  • High position, headboard only: No extras required.
  • High position, headboard + one side: 1 extra.
  • High position, headboard + both sides: 2 extras.

Every teddyDen includes one guardrail as standard.

10. Can I use the higher teddyDenwithout installing the guardrail as a headboard?

Yes!
The included guardrail can instead be used on either side of the higher bed. 

Please note that the unused headboard insert holes may remain visible in this configuration and We Do Not Recommend this configuration!

11. What are the two height settings of the teddyDen?

The teddyDen offers two adjustable bed heights:

  • Low position: Starts at 10 cm above the floor.
  • High position: Starts at 23 cm above the floor.

The bed frame can be flipped and reassembled to transition between these positions as your child grows.

12. Are additional teddyDen guardrails available to purchase separately?

Yes!
Additional matching upholstered guardrails are available to purchase separately, allowing you to customise your teddyDen with one or two side guardrails, or a headboard and side guardrails in the higher position.
